How do we want to live in the future?
Under the theme “Living and Housing along the Upper Rhine: 2000–2025–2050,” the 25th Architecture Days, taking place from October 1–26, invite you to explore future visions and architectural culture in the Upper Rhine region.
The 3Land is a powerful example of both the opportunities and challenges of cross-border urban development: three countries, different legal frameworks – yet one shared vision for vibrant, livable neighborhoods.
This guided bike tour through the 3Land takes you to sites of transformation: former harbor and railway areas now being reimagined as public spaces, green parks, or new residential neighborhoods. At several stops along the way, urban planners, architects, and other experts will provide insights into ongoing projects, showing how urban visions are being translated into real spaces for today’s and tomorrow’s communities.
About the Architecture Days

The Architecture Days have been organized since 2000 by the Europäisches Architekturhaus - Oberrhein / Maison européenne de l'architecture - Rhin supérieur (The European Architecture House - Upper Rhine). Its mission is to promote architectural culture and raise public awareness of the built environment. The organization operates across a wide region: Alsace (France), Baden-Württemberg (Germany), and the two Basel cantons (Switzerland).
