Students from Strasbourg visit Palmrain!
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, twenty students from the University of Strasbourg participated in an excursion organized by the Eucor network. The objective was to gain insights into the operations of the Trinational Eurodistrict Basel (TEB), focusing on sustainable development projects.
Three members of the administration reported on the activities and projects in the field of transnational cooperation and sustainable urban development. On this occasion, the 3Land project was presented.
Frédéric Duvinage, the director of the TEB, warmly welcomed the students and began by providing a historical context for transnational cooperation. He shed light on the evolution of partnerships and potentially even inspired these students from various academic backgrounds to further engage in cross-border cooperation.
Subsequently, Léane Pouchelet, TEB’s project manager for public relations and events, described various areas of activity before handing over to Judith Lenhart, the 3Land project manager. She explained the cross-border cooperation efforts made to address the mobility and sustainable development challenges in the tri-border area. The discussion concluded with an exchange where students took advantage of this opportunity to better understand the ongoing projects.
After this presentation at TEB's Palmrain premises, the group went to the ‘Dreiländerbrücke’ and admired the successful realization of a 3Land sub-project, the "Vis-à-Vis" project between Huningue and Weil-am-Rhein. The students were thus able to stroll through the cross-border park.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for the enthusiasm and positive feedback, motivating us to repeat the experience!
