Call for tenders for the elaboration of a of a preparatory study for a tramway line over a Rhine bridge

A new Rhine bridge between Huningue and Basel is important for the further development of the 3Land project area. With the tramway line crossing it, it will enable the emergence of a trinational district by connecting countries and bringing people together. After the positive result of the cost-benefit analysis, the 3Land project partners are preparing the next steps: Within the framework of the ongoing Interreg project, a preparatory study for a tramway line across the Rhine Bridge is to be prepared.

The aim of the study is to clarify preliminary questions in preparation for a bridge building competition or to show the necessity of further studies. The result of the study will be used for the further organization of the project and the preparation of a specification for the tender of a bridge building competition.

Key persons for the elaboration of the study are experts in French and Swiss planning and legal regulations as well as experts in civil engineering and project management. The constitution of (cross-border) consortia is encouraged.
