Architecture in 3Land

Three organizations meet here at the focal point for young architecture in the architectural heart of 3Land with three programme items. In the first part of the event, the Kammergruppe Lörrach of the AKBW and the Duale Hochschule Lörrach invite you to take a tour “behind the scenes”. At the Vitra Campus, the new architecture course has moved into a spacious studio in the Siza Hall. In the second part, the Trinational Eurodistrict Basel will present current projects and construction sites in the 3Land region. The third part invites everyone involved to join in a pleasant discussion!

Launched in 2000, the Architecture Days have developed into Europe's largest cross-border architecture festival dedicated to a broad public. From the last week of September until the end of October, the European House of Architecture focuses on architecture in the Upper Rhine region. This year's theme is “Architecture in the making”:
Who has never stood in front of a construction fence, behind which the mechanical and noisy ballet of cranes, trucks, workers and construction experts plays out? Numerous professions work among the earth and often gravel.
The building site is not just a phase in the implementation of a project, but takes us into unknown territory with its complex contemporary issues, which are both economic and ecological, imaginary and real, under construction or demolition.
